A Closser Look is a family owned and operated business that takes a natural and holistic approach to life. Justin and Kelly first met in 2010, and after years of trying to figure it out - finally found a path that felt right. We find joy in helping others find success in life and happiness within themselves. We believe that a healthy lifestyle and a commitment to your craft will allow you to reach your highest heights.
Justin grew up working in the garden with his father and grandmother, but the passion didn't ignite until many years later - following 9 years of military service and a combat tour to Iraq - upon the first successful venture with a Cannabis plant. He began on a knowledge thirsty journey reading cultivation books and would lose himself in Cannabis podcasts all day every day. Eventually the decision to stop working construction and return to school was made. While enrolled at Finger Lakes Community College he served as the President of the Horticulture Club, played on the Varsity lacrosse team, was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, managed to earn the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence and Coca Cola Academic Team Gold Scholar status. This opened up a whole new world - he would go on to a much higher level university ( which can not be named due to the federally illegal status of Cannabis). Shortly after enrollment a conversation with childhood friend Steve VanDeWalle ensued- and they decided to take their collective knowledge and help to push forward Cannabis Education. This was the birth of Cannabis Cum Laude. A Closser Look was originally going to be the name of the podcast had it been a Solo mission. Justin has experience with outdoor cultivation, but specializes in indoor and greenhouse production. If he doesn't know the answer to your question he probably knows somebody who will.
